Patients only need a name and DOB (this is a federal requirement for their documentation since they hand out needles).
Has SW and peer navigators on site to sign people up for Medicaid, get plugged in with MAT options, etc.
Provides: needles, sharps boxes, Narcan, clean injection supplies (alcohol swabs, cotton balls, tourniquets, etc), as well as meth bubbles and crack pipes, patients just need to ask whoever is standing outside about them and they will work to get them. They also hand out food, hygiene kits, warm clothing.

Denver CARES
This is a 100-bed, non-medical, clinically managed treatment facility that provides a safe and humane environment for clients to withdrawal from alcohol and/or drugs.

Denver CARES Transitional Residential Treatment
Denver CARES provides transitional residential treatment for individuals with substance use disorders. Male and female clients are housed separately in shared living spaces. The male dorm can accommodate up to 28 clients and the female dorm can accommodate up to 14 clients. The length of stay varies from 45 to 90 days. Services include counseling groups on a variety of topics including coping skills, seeking safety, relapse prevention, smoking cessation, mindfulness and meditation, CBT, grief and loss, yoga, anger management, art therapy, and many more. Participants will also meet with their respective counselor once per week for individualized counseling. In addition to counseling, clients are connected to case coordinators and case managers who support them with basic life skills such as obtaining gainful employment, sustainable housing, and continuation of their treatment goals to best support their recovery.

Aurora Day Resource Center becomes a 24/7 shelter during certain times of the winter season. For more information call: 303-343-7808
During cold weather activation, the family lottery is bypassed and the shelter becomes a first-come, first-serve situation. No families will be turned away.
Singles who did not make the lottery for the month have access to the Aurora Day Resource Center.

AIM: At Risk Intervention and Mentoring
On call outreach workers available 24/7 and aware of all trauma activation. They provide in person mentoring and intervention for youths affected by violence.

GRASP (Gang Rescue and Support Project)
A peer-run, intervention program that works with youth who are at-risk of gang involvement or are presently active in gangs, helps families of gang victims, and serves as a youth advocate. GRASP works so well because it is primarily run by ex-gang members who broke free of the gang life-style and turned their lives around.
GRASP hosts a support group meetings every Thursday at 6pm
